Dipper Balance at Midnight is the position of Lunar Establisher. Dipper Bowl at Dawn is the position of Lunar Establisher.
Chunqiu Yundoushu (Spring and Autumn Annals of the Dipper’s Motions) states: The first star is Tian Shu (Celestial Pivot). The second is Xuan. The third is Ji. The fourth is Quan. The fifth is Heng. The sixth is Kaiyang. The seventh is Yaoguang. The first to fourth stars form the Kui (Bowl), and the fifth to seventh form the Shao (Handle), together constituting the Dipper. wiki
