二月建卯大壯卦

月令仲春鄭注曰仲春者日月會於降婁而斗建卯之辰也二月四陽之月大壯四陽之卦故以配之

三月建辰夬卦

月令季春鄭注曰季春者日月會於大梁而斗建辰之辰也三月五陽之月夬五陽之卦故以配之

四月建巳乾卦

月令孟夏鄭注曰孟夏者日月會於實沈而斗建巳之辰也四月純陽之月乾純陽之卦故以配之

五月建午姤卦

月令仲夏鄭注曰仲夏者日月會於鶉首而斗建午之辰也夏至一隂始生姤一隂之卦故以配之

六月建未遯卦

月令季夏鄭注曰季夏者日月會於鶉火而斗建未之辰也六月二隂之月遯二隂之卦故以配之

Kaoyuan (Investigation of Origins) _ctext states: According to the Shiji (Records of the Grand Historian), Tianguan Shu (Book of Celestial Officials) _ctext, the use of the Dipper’s positions is described as follows: Dipper Handle at Dusk is the position of Lunar Establisher. Dipper Balance at Midnight is the position of Lunar Establisher. Dipper Bowl at Dawn is the position of Lunar Establisher.

Chunqiu Yundoushu (Spring and Autumn Annals of the Dipper’s Motions) states: The first star is Tian Shu (Celestial Pivot). The second is Xuan. The third is Ji. The fourth is Quan. The fifth is Heng. The sixth is Kaiyang. The seventh is Yaoguang. The first to fourth stars form the Kui (Bowl), and the fifth to seventh form the Shao (Handle), together constituting the Dipper. _wiki

For example, during the first lunar month: At dusk, the Dipper Handle points to ^B2寅_YIN. At midnight, the Dipper Balance points to ^B2寅_YIN. At dawn, the Dipper Bowl points to ^B2寅_YIN. The palace where the sun and moon meet is called the Lunar Commander

The Lunar Establisher follows the Heavenly Way, rotating leftward as the Celestial Pivot, while the Lunar Commander follows the Earthly Way, rotating rightward as the Earthly Axis.
